Be careful with candles!

Always remember to blow your candles out before going to bed or leaving the house!!!

Candles make beautiful decor, memorable gifts, and can fill your home with savory scents. However, according to www.nfpa.org, they are also responsible for:

•3% of reported home fires
•3% of home fire deaths
•6% of home fire injuries
•5% of the direct property damage in home fires

As you can see from the statistics above, candles can be extremely dangerous when not monitored. To keep your Big Rapids or Fremont area home safe from fire damage, make sure to blow candles out before bed and before leaving the house. It's also important to keep candles away from children or animals who could accidentally knock them over!
